ganz herzlichen Dank an alle, die mir eine Postkarte geschickt haben.
Hier nun die Route, die sich durch Eure Vorschläge ergeben hat:

Aachen, Limburg, Aubel, Groningen, Amsterdam, Osnabrück, Hamburg, Brake, Braunschweig, Magdeburg, Kloster Lehnin, Potsdam, Berlin, Zittau, Tallin, Falera, Bayrischer Wald, Bologna, San Daniele, San Marie sur Mere, Barcelaona, Costa Vicentina, Fuerteventura, Mallorca, Korfu, Bath und eine Joker-Karte. Einige Karten sind noch unterwegs. Die Orte werde ich dann noch ergänzen.

Wann die Reise losgeht ist davon abhängig, wann die Finanzierung geklärt ist. Die Gespräche mit den Sponsoren sind in vollem Gange. Wenn jemand unterstützen möchte oder jemanden kennt, der sich finanziell oder mit Sachleistungen, wie Tankfüllungen, Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten o.ä. beteiligen möchte ... nur zu. Liebe Freunde von 305to226,

das Projekt 305to226 soll hier in Europa fotgesetzt werden. Dazu möchte ich während der Dauer von ca. drei Wochen quer durch Europa fahren, jeden Tag ein kleines Bild fertigstellen und es an einem öffentlich zugänglichen Ort zurücklassen. Der Finder des Bildes ist dazu aufgerufen, seine Geschichte und sein Foto mit dem gefundenen Bild hierher zu posten. Damit die Europareise stattfinden kann, brauche ich Deine Mithilfe.

Bitte schicke mir eine Ansichtskarte von dem Ort in Europa, den ich auf der Reise besuchen soll bzw. an dem Du Dich gerade befindest (nur Europa). Bitte schreibe mir auf dieser Karte, warum ich diesen Ort besuchen soll. Du kannst gerne in einer der europäischen Sprachen schreiben. Bitte schicke mir Deine Ansichtskarte bis zum 30. 305to226 ist nominiert für den 1. KIU-Kunstpreis im Rahmen des Projektes Art 2.0. Wer 305to226 also live erleben möchte, ist am 15. Mai 2008 um 19.00 Uhr herzlich nach Köln, Hansaring 78 eingeladen. Die Preisverleihung findet im Rahmen der Finissage statt. Um einen Platz zu reservieren kann mann sich hier eintragen.

Herzlichen Dank an alle, die am 21. September zu der Präsentation gekommen sind. Für mich war es ein sehr aufregender und auch sehr schöner Abend. Vielen, vielen Dank für das positive Feedback und Euer reges Interesse an den Bilder und Projekten. Ich bin mehrfach angesprochen worden, ob es eine Dokumentation bzw. ein kleines Buch über das Projekt gibt. Das gibt leider noch nicht. Aber ich halte es für eine gute Idee. Es werde ich mich mal an die Arbeit machen und ein Buch über das Farbprojekt und eines über 305 to 226 machen.

Hier ein paar Eindrücke von gestern. Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Exhibition at September 21th in Berlin

Dear finder, dear friends, liebe Finder, liebe Freunde,
ich möchte Euch gerne zu meiner Ausstellung am 21. September, um 20.00 Uhr in der Akademie für Malerei, Hardenbergstr. 9, 10623 Berlin einladen.
I would like to invite you to my exhibition at September 21th in Berlin, Akademie für Malerei Berlin, Hardenbergstr. 9, 10623 Berlin at 8.00 pm.

Zu sehen sind 24 neue Bilder, die auf der Grundlage von Erinnerungen an die Reise in die Staaten entstanden sind. Allerdings haben sich einige Details verändert.
You will see 24 pictures painted based on reminiscense of our trip to the states. Some details has changed and some new aspects has appeared in these new pictures.

Diesmal kann man die Bilder leider nicht finden, sondern kaufen (tut mir leid, Leute), aber jeder neue Besitzer hat die einmalige Chance mit den Besitzern der Zwillingsbildern in den USA über diesen Blog einen Kontakt herzustellen und selbst Teil dieses Projektes zu werden.
This time the pictures are not to find, but to buy :-), (sorry folks). But every new owner could get in contact with the owner of the twin picture in the states to start a wonderful new communication via this blog.

Wir werden sehen, was passiert. Man weiß ja nie.
So we will see what will happen. You never know.
Auch noch einige weitere Arbeiten werden zu sehen sein. Eine kleine Rede gibt es auch.

Tina have told me that she has seen some more of the picture. Some of the finders don't have computers to post a comment or a foto. Maybe she could do that.

Even for me the project is not really finished. I had to made a documentation about this project for an exhibition and now I am working on new pictures. My focus is to mix parts of the original picture with details the finder told me. So the result is a new picture composed thru ideas of the finder and me. Genetic art. Haha!

The picture of today shows the view from our Hotelroom near JFK where we had to stay for the last night after missing our flight back home.
I have left it in our apartment in berlin. I will keep it for remembering.

Today was NOT our last day here. After getting lost in that subway-fuzzy-something in NYC we have missed our flight back to Europe. So we had another day here and we went to P.S.1. It was fun. I am proud to have my first picture at the MOMA. :-)
But the picture of today shows Macy's in NYC at night. We walked half the night from Little Italy back to Central Park.
Because of the chaotic trip back home the picture is not to find in the States. It is in Berlin.

The picture of the day shows a policeman at Times Square in the middle of the street. Tomorrow will be our last day here in the States. (Now I know this was not like this.)
Because of the chaotic last days I have to left the picture at the lost & fonds desk in Berlin, TXL Airport.

The picture of today shows the Pier near Brooklyn Bridge. I have left the picture in Central Park at the dog statue. The Huskys name is Balto (right spelling? I don't know), but he is a real hero because he has helped to rescue lots of people in canada. Cool dog!

The picture of today shows a dead deer. We've saw a lot of them in Michigan. I always feel sorry for these animals dieing beneath the road. So as a memorial a have left the picture at the P.S.1, stair B in NYC.

Today it was Fathers Day. We went at Tammys House for a BBQ. We've met a lot of people of Tina's family there. It was really nice there. I would like to say thank you for meeting you. I hope we will see again. This picture is for you, Tammy, I hope you'll like it.

I have left the picture in Peshtigo, Wisconsin.

And I also want to say "Hello" to my Dad. We don't celebrate Fathers Day in this way you do, but I think it is a good way to say "Thank you, Dad".

So we will leave Michigan tomorrow and go to Chicago and then to NY. We will miss you. Take care.

Today we went to Macinac Island near the border to Canada. It was nice there and we camped at the Straits State Park. I am not a big camper, but it was really comfortable there. We have met this bird and it has followed us up to Paradise. I have left the picture at the Art Museum in Milwaukee.

With this picture I would like to say thank you to all people at Stephenson High School for teaching my son Luiz and for beeing his friend, for helping him and let him beeing part of your community. Thanks a lot. It was a big challenge for a 16 year old boy and it became a wonderful experience.

Today nothing really happened, but it is so peaceful and beautiful here. I like it so much sitting outside and painting my picture, watching one Truck passing once in one hour. People we have met till yet were so kind. Thanks to all people in Stephenson who have given my son the opportunity to stay here and feel at home. Thanks to the teacher at Stephenson Highschool who teaches my son like the local pupils and shows him what a good community could be. And of course I thank you Tina and your family for being Luiz hostfamily. It is wonderful to be your guest and see how you are living. We hope that we see you very soon in Berlin. You all are very lucky people to live in such a beatiful area.

I am really lazy. Sorry for that. I am getting used to doing nothing. We are at Tina's House sitting at the fireplace in the evening and telling stories. We are playing with the dogs and driving with tractors. We are listening to the coyotes and the frogs and to a lot of other animals we not know. So the picture of today shows Tina's horses. I have left the picture next to the flag in front of the House.

This is the story about a german guy who becomes a real cowboy. First Cowboy drives his Truck thru the States, then he has bought a hat in Mexiko and now he is known as "Cowboy, the Scorpion". I love him.

After a really long trip from New Mexiko back to Michigan we are now here at Tina's House. We have bought some food for tonight at Wal-Mart in Greenbay, Wiscosin where I have left the picture between the T-Shirts. Then we went out with the dog for a walk. I am so tired. It's so nice here. We all need a day off, hanging at the pool down in New Mexiko.

We are here for a couple of days. Every evening we all sit outside in front of our room. Then first comes a cat and then the police looking for someone who has catched a kid or wears a red shirt. But normally we see nothing. We have been to the cavern in Carlsbad. It was so beautiful. I have left the picture in a newspaper box at a Gasstadion nearby Las Cruces Highschool.

White Sands Missile Range, New Mexiko.

We are on the car the whole time. We are three drivers and we only stopp for going to the bathroom or having diner at a fast food store. So the second picture is painted by driving thru Michigan.

I have left it in Atlanta in Front of a Bar at the histroic Route 66 we have taken just for ten minutes.

The first picture is finished. I have left it at O'Hare Airport , Chicago, Illinois.

We are not really in a good mood. We are tired and hungry. Everything is large and it takes a very long time. But I am sure things will getting better.

What is 305 to 226?

305 to 226 is the title of my art project that lasts from May 30th to June 22th. During this time I will finish one picture every day on a trip from an unknown place to another. The picture will show an impression that represents the recent day. Every picture will be placed at a public location which is normally not a place where you expect a picture. Attached on every picture is a little plastic bag with the instruction sheet and the URL of this blog. I will post a foto from the daily picture at its "new temporary public showroom" here. Every finder of a picture is called to send a comment to this blog and tell us where the picture is now. We would like to see a foto of the picture and the finder to verify.
But everyone else who would like to post statements is welcome to be part of the project.
